Not so weekly because it's August
It’s the end of August, I’m tired, you’re tired, I wish I was still on holiday (I’m going away for the majority of September) but I’m in London and it is miserable but the sun keeps poking through and I am reminded that pre fall is upon us.
I always feel robbed when it’s not sunny in August, like as a tween running around Liverpool I remember everyday of the summer holidays as the sun beating down on me, only ever wearing my American Apparel cords, that alphabet tshirt they did with a penny loafer and matching cambridge satchel (will dig out the pics). Anyway it’s safe to say the sun is not sunning and the weather is not weathering. But this girl on the train platform makes me only want to wear blue jeans.

Two great vinted finds for you to recreate, tbh I am probably going to actually buy both of them by the time you’ve read this. I won’t link jeans and white tee because we all have them anyway, though my faves are this tee if you’re feeling spendy, this one if you’re not. Currently holed up on the balcony thinking what shite am I not wearing so I can sell before I have to move it all to the new house. Also panicking because there is so much work that needs doing before that can happen, I digress. More importantly, what am I wearing and do I need to buy more of it. I feel this year I have shifted over to a slightly more relaxed look, I haven’t had my hair blown once (that’s a lie) and I am no longer really wearing a watch (also a lie). Things are more slouchy than ever and anytime I’ve put on something that is remotely giving me a waist or feels fitted I’ve almost instantly changed. I think I need more slouchy knits and more long skirts, let's see how my fall wardrobe will play out!

What I’ve been watching
Gone are my Saturday mornings of listening to radio 4, much to my boyfriends disappointment and now I’m watching all my old classics that I loved as a teen, its mostly Hitchcock tbh but last week was Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, a classic. Of course this weeks TSITP is just amazing but I’m so glad it didn’t air when I was 13 my little heart wouldn’t have been able to take it.
What I’ve been reading
Call me generic but I just read The Wedding People (an airport pickup) and I loved it, was literally so gorge and fun and light. The Summer reads have included The Man from Peru, Caledonian Road, Evenings and Weekends and In Tongues. The last being the best and the rest being ok.
What I’ve been buying
Architect fees (never had a more expensive conversation in my life and I paid to meet Rihanna when I was like 12), sob. Did also buy new Havaianas and some new Tekla long sleeves but that’s not that exciting.
